About Our Kennel
Our Show Philosophy
We at Legacy believe in producing lasting quality for future generations. In order to obtain this objective, we are constantly proving our dogs in the AKC and UKC show rings by earning various titles. Titles are obtained by earning 15 points under a minimum of 3 different judges. By titling our dogs, two aspirations are achieved:
1.) It allows outside peers to judge our breeding program and show us areas of improvement.
2.) We minimize the too often problem of kennel blindness. Kennel blindness develops when we as breeders are either unwilling or unable to accurately discern the strength and weaknesses of our dogs.

Our Breeding Philosophy
Legacy means to hand down from an ancestor or predecessor; our litters are specifically planned with the intent to honor those breeders in the past, who have worked to produce what is the modern day Coton. Our Legacy for future generations is to produce healthy, sound, even-tempered Coton De Tulear puppies. To this end, all of our dogs are health tested to ensure genetic health. Our puppies are temperament tested and stimulated with the Dr. Carmen Battaglia's Neuro-Stimulation method, to give them the greatest advantage in becoming well-adjusted, calm adults. The results are puppies that are superior to their parents.
